Your information matters; it’s you and it’s your story…
PRIVACY POLICY
The protection of your personal information is paramount. We understand that personal information is becoming increasingly compromised and all businesses need to do better. It’s annoying that they aren’t right? Monandia Consulting understands where you’re coming from because we too have had our personal information compromised. We have ‘walked in those shoes’ and experienced the impact of it so if we say, “we’re committed to protecting your personal information”, we mean it!
Our Privacy Policy is here to outline how we collect, hold, use and disclose any personal information you provide to us.
By the way, when we say “we, us, our, Monandia Consulting”, that’s Monandia Consulting with ABN 26 126 376 741 and website – www.monandiaconsulting.com.au .
Do we collect personal information?
Yes. We collect personal information necessary for us to provide you with the services and products that you have requested or to carry out our business activities.
What kinds of personal information do we collect and hold?
The types of personal information we may collect from you includes:
Your name
Your contact information (such as email address, phone number, and postal address; this includes work-related contact information)
Information about your digital interactions with us ( such as if you respond to an email, or interact with our website, digital channels or digital communications).
We may collect this information directly from you, from publicly available resources, or from third parties with your consent.
Too many businesses collect personal information unnecessarily. We try to minimise the collection of personal information wherever possible. In fact, it is illegal in Australia to collect personal information unless the information is reasonably necessary for one or more of the business’ functions or activities. Most businesses don’t “get” this, but we do.
It’s possible that we may hold ‘sensitive information’ about you, such as information about your political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, criminal history or health information. We do not solicit this information. We would only hold this information about you if you freely provide it to us. This could occur in an unsolicited manner verbally, via email, through our website or through other communication channels. We will adhere to the law in handling sensitive information. This means we are likely to delete or remove sensitive information from our records.
How do we collect personal information?
We collect personal information from you when you interact with us. You might interact with us:
In-person (Woohoo! Personal contact!)
Over the phone (“Hey, how you doin’? …”)
On our website (such as by subscribing to our awesome newsletter or filling out the ‘Contact Us’ page)
Via email (“Following up about that article you referred to…”)
Via other digital tools (such as meeting, messaging, compliance and training applications or through Google Forms).
It’s also possible we collect your personal information from third parties. Here are some examples of when that may occur:
If you sign-up to attend a training session or webinar with any industry or professional association that is being run or facilitated by Monandia Consulting, that association may give us your personal details.
If Monandia Consulting is speaking at an event and you are an attendee at the event, the event organiser could provide us with your personal details.
You could provide us with your personal details at a conference we’re attending by providing your details through a third party digital application.
How do we hold personal information?
Any files with personal information on it are held digitally. These are stored:
On a local drive within our business premises
Some files are backed-up on cloud services provided by one of the world’s largest technology companies (they’re called Microsoft; have you heard of them?)
Through other third party providers such as through our mail/newsletter service providers and our website provider.
All files are encrypted.
Do you disclose customer personal information?
We don’t disclose your personal information unless it is to assist us in technology storage, or to provide you with information or a service. This means there is sometimes limited disclosure of your personal information in the following circumstances:
To third party technology solution providers (such as for data storage, digital mailing services, for digital training services, for digital compliance solutions)
To other consultants where we may be working collaboratively on a project or service for you
To a regulator, court or law enforcement body if requested under lawful authority.
Do you disclose personal information overseas?
This is possible through our third party technology solution providers and is primarily in the form of storage of data. These technology solution providers will have data centres located in different places of the world. It is possible the data storage location used by these providers may change over time. Here are the likely storage location countries: Australia, Belgium, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, United States of America.
We review the terms of engagement and data security practices of all technology solution providers we use.
If we hold personal information about you and you want to know exactly who our third party technology solution providers are, send us a message here.
How do I get access to or correct the personal information you hold about me?
That’s easy. Send us a message here. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
We don’t charge a fee for accessing or correcting your personal information.
How can I lodge a complaint about a breach of my privacy?
Let’s hope we’re doing everything right here at Monandia Consulting.
If you’re not happy with the way we have handled your information or if you have any feedback, we will do our best to rectify the situation or improve our practices. Send us a message here. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
